Research Data Catalog
GSE Research Data Catalog
The Research Data Catalog is designed to make it easier for data managers, faculty, and students at the Graduate School of Education to discover and use existing datasets. By organizing information on research areas, data types, key variables, and age groups, the catalog reduces the time spent searching for relevant data and helps users quickly identify projects that align with their interests. It also increases transparency across research initiatives, supports collaboration, and makes the most of the rich data resources already available at the GSE.
Key Features:
1.Explore different datasets in use at the GSE
2. Filter by age range, state, key data elements/specific variables, research topics, data type, number of observations
3. Two access versions:
- Data manager view (with partnership information)
- Student view
Access must be requested via the Looker Studio report, or email Monica Chen
4. The GSE IT/Data Team offers individualized 1:1 consultations to help you identify projects that align with your research interests or learning goals. As part of this process, we also provide onboarding support to connect students with established project teams, ensuring a smooth transition and a strong match between student skills and project needs.
5. The GSE Data Catalog is a collective resource built by and for our community. We encourage researchers, data managers, and students to actively contribute by sharing new datasets, updating existing records, and adding related resources. This ongoing participation helps ensure that the catalog remains accurate, comprehensive, and relevant—making it a living tool that grows with the evolving needs of the GSE research community.
